1. Who We Are
GamePlanLab ("we," "us," or "our") operates the GamePlanLab coaching intelligence platform available at gameplanlab.app. We are committed to protecting the privacy of coaches, organizations, and the young athletes whose information may be entered into our platform. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect that information.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, including your name, email address, organization name, and payment information. When you use the platform, we collect team and roster data you enter — including player names, positions, statistics, and pitch counts. We do not require or request sensitive personal information about athletes beyond what is needed to support coaching decisions. We also collect standard usage data such as log files, IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, used solely to maintain and improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and operate the GamePlanLab service, process subscription payments, send important account and service communications, and improve the platform based on how it is used. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use athlete data for any purpose other than delivering the coaching features you requested.
4. Youth Athlete Data — COPPA and FERPA
GamePlanLab is designed for use by coaches and sports organizations, not directly by children. Coaches and organizations are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authorization to enter player information into the platform. We handle all youth athlete data with heightened care. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe player data has been entered without proper authorization, contact us immediately at privacy@gameplanlab.app and we will remove it promptly. Coaches using GamePlanLab in a school or district context should ensure their use is consistent with FERPA obligations.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Payment information is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We implement row-level security controls so that each organization can only access its own data. While we take security seriously and follow industry best practices, no system is completely immune to risk. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate GamePlanLab: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (hosting and content delivery). Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and security practices. We share only the minimum data necessary with each provider to deliver the service. We do not integrate with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics platforms that track users across the web.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and team data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@gameplanlab.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Some data may be retained in anonymized, aggregated form for platform improvement purposes.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You may export your team data from within the platform. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively, including the right to data portability and the right to object to certain processing. 9. Cookies
GamePlanLab uses session cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your application state. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in to the platform.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
